Buena Vista Canopy & Natural Spa - Buena Vista is located nearby the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. In this tour you will enjoy the primary forest on a different way: trails built up in the top of the trees (about 105 feet high). A small hike takes you to the first platform, from there you start swinging to the other 12 platforms, which are connected by 9 cables from 150 to 400 feet long. During the canopy, that last almost three hours, you will have the opportunity to observe the surrounding forest from a new perspective.. just like Tarzan!! You might be getting hot by now because of the canopy, so it is time to cool off on the 1200 ft. long water slide. After having lunch at the Lodge, we start the third part of the tour: Horseback riding to the thermal waters, steam bath and natural spa, located at the foot of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. Here, you will enjoy the rejuvenating treatments with volcanic mud and mineral waters. On your way there you will enjoy the wildlife of a transitional forest (between dry and rain forest), where you might be able to spot monkeys, squirrels and a variety of butterflies and birds such as woodpeckers and toucans.

Palo Verde National Park - Palo Verde is one of the most important and interesting National Parks in Costa Rica . It has at least 12 different habitats within the park including: mangroves, swamps, swamps forests, saltwater and freshwater lagoons and marshes. In this tour you will get into the Tempisque River , the most important river of the Guanacaste. On this river you will enjoy a two and a half hours boat ride. From the boat, watch the fabulous array of wild birds and a myriad of creatures such as howler monkeys, green iguanas and coatis, anteaters and crocodiles. The park provides shelter for a great variety of birds such as the American Woodstock, the Roseate Spoonbill, the Boat-billed Heron, the Tiger Heron and the Tropical Kingbird. Los Inocentes Hacienda - Los Inocentes is a beautiful cattle Hacienda that gives you the opportunity to enjoy abundant wildlife and panoramic views. This Hacienda features a traditional Finca house made from the most select native woods such as Caoba, Cristobal and Guapinol. While doing a two and a half hours horse back riding tour, you will pass by different creeks and have the chance to see the Orosi Volcano. During the ride, some of the exciting animals you may see are toucans, wild parrots, howler and spider monkeys, white-faced capuchins, sloths and woodpeckers. Arenal Volcano Combo Tour ( Hot springs and rain forest hiking trip) - The perfectly cone shaped volcano raises 4.899 feet above the sea level. It has been active since 1968, when it made its largest eruption. Its loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash during the day create a show that will stun you from miles away. On your way there, you will ride through the heavenly landscape of Lake Arenal , a man made lake that provides water for an hydroelectric plant and for irrigation in the low lands of Guanacaste province during the dry season. As an option, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a hiking tour at the surroundings of the volcano, in an overview area called El Silencio. After that, you will experience the mineral hot springs . After nightfall, the glow of flowing lava can be seen from several points in the area (if it´s not cloudy). During the tour it is possible to spot toucans, guans, oropendolas, monkeys and coatis. Due to the location, this is a full day tour that returns to the hotels in the evening.

Rincon De La Vieja National Park - This National Park was created to protect the biodiversity around Rincon de la Vieja Volcano area. It extends over 14,083 hectares of semi-deciduous forest and very moist forest and includes a barren rocky terrain at altitudes that range from 1950 feet to 5748 feet above the sea level on the Caribbean and Pacific sides of the Guanacaste Volcanic Mountain Range. Fumaroles, hot mud pools and the eerie steam holes of Las Pailas create an amazing landscape. The hiking tour takes about two hours. During this hiking you will get to see the secondary Waterfall, which is about 195 feet high and is located on a rocky terrain devastated by the volcanic eruptions. The tour not only provides the opportunity to appreciate Rincon de la Vieja's geothermal wonders, it also allows a close view of an ancient forest hundreds of years old. Huge trees protect spider monkeys, leaf-cutter ants, toucans and all kind of great and small creatures.

Santa Rosa Natinal Park - Santa Rosa is a combination of extensive dry forest, fauna and history. A cattle hacienda in the last century was the scene of one of the most important battles in Costa Rica 's history. This old house called La Casona is now a museum that conserves historic objects, as old furniture, pictures of former presidents of Costa Rica and of old Guanacaste. Here you will learn about this ancient part of our history. After this visit, be ready for the hiking trails through the tropical dry forest where you will find a variety of wildlife typical from this area. At the lunch time we will drive to Liberia , the capital of the Province of Guanacaste , that is well known as ² The White City ² for its gleaming, white-washed colonial homes and for the white soil on which the city sits. Corobici River Float - Corobici River is perfect if you have been dreaming about the joys of white water rafting. The waters are not rough, but you have to work out to manage them. (the river is class I - II). The tour is two hours of rubber boat trip down the river, which is bordered by tropical dry forest, where you will see trees like Ceiba, Mahogany and Guanacaste. Also, during the journey, some of the animals you may see are exotic birds, Jesus Christ lizards and monkeys. Before you board the rubber raft, a certified guide will instruct you on safety procedures.

Congo Trail Canopy Tour - This canopy is located in a little town named Artola very close to the beaches of Ocotal, El Coco, Hermosa, Conchal, Tamarindo and Flamingo. After approximately one hour driving, we arrive at the site, where a tropical - dry forest and its high trees are surrounded the area. Once we get there the tour guides will get you ready for the ride of your life. After a short hike we will come to the first platform, ready for instructions to start flying down the suspended cables. During the tour we will come across a walk bridge between two platforms, this is a truly exhilarating and exciting experience. Tamarindo Mangroves Boat Tour - Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge protects a large estuary, mangrove forest and tropical dry forest in an area covering almost 400 hectares. Ridley Turtle Nesting Safari in Ostional Beach - Experience the unbelievable phenomenon of thousands of Ridley turtles coming into shore to lay their eggs. This protected beach has a surplus of turtle eggs, so that they are actually harvested to allow baby turtles to have an area to be hatched in without being disturbed by surplus eggs. The "arribada " of turtles is distinctly unique and their arrival is based on the phase of the moon. You will leave in the afternoon, and drive the coastal highway to the south to Ostional Beach , after dinner you will await the arrival of this awe inspiring event. Giant Leatherback Turtle Nesting Safari - This is a nocturnal adventure into the Baula National Park to witness one of the few remaining nesting grounds for the Giant Leatherback Sea Turtle. This is approximately a two hour walking tour with a bi-lingual guides to watch the world's largest reptile lay her eggs and return to the sea. This tour is educational as well as adventurous. Deep Sea Sports Fishing - For any fisherman that has never fished the World Famous Bat Islands you are in for the treat of a lifetime. The Bat Islands are located on the Northwest tip of Santa Rosa National Park approx. halfway between Playas del Coco and the Nicaragua border in an area know as the Peninsula or "Gulfo de Papagayo" approx. 1 1/2 hours from Playas del Coco. This area is noted and famous for an abundance of Sailfish (Pez Vela) that roam the pristine waters surrounding the rock islands that make up the chain of the "Bats" and to land a 120-130 lbs Vela is not a rare encounter. The average caught is 110 lbs. Our waters are known worldwide for sport fishing marlin, sailfish, tuna and more.

Surfing - One of the most popular areas to surf is in the Santa Rosa National Park . There you will find Playa Naranja and the famous beach break named Witch's Rock . This is a fast wave known for its barrels and at times can be absolutely perfect. Access can be obtained by both car and by boat. North of Playa Naranja is Portrero Grande or more commonly called "Ollie's Point". This is a wave for all ability levels and can be world class on the right day. During the months of May through October it remains very consistent. If you are looking for the perfect right hand point break, search no further. Access to this break is by boat only and the closest beach to access it is Playas del Coco where you can book a trip for around 50 dollars that takes the visitor to both Witch's Rock and Ollie's Point for the day. With a few kind words to the captain he may even show you a couple of less known spots that work during the right conditions. Either way it is one of the most beautiful places in the world to be on a boat.
