Area Information:San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica and is located in this region. It has The Juan Santamaria International Airport, which serves as the hub for receiving and facilitating the world travellers that visit this beautiful country. In a typical itinerary, one would spend the first and the last night here in San Jose. The reason for this is logistics, San Jose is close to the airport and it will alleviate time constraints regarding travel arrivals and departures. A critical component of a successful trip is a smooth arrival and departure process; it sets the initial and final perception of a trip. San Jose serves as a starting launch point to a traveller's itinerary, its proximity to a lot of the tour attraction makes it ideal for taking day trips. If additional time permits, Alajuela, Heredia and Escazu to name a few are cities in this region that has its own personality and attractions that can be explored. Weather:San Jose , located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica averages about 78°F during the day and dips around 60°F in the evening.
